Advertising Terms and Conditions
It is important that advertisers on the Widecombe website understand the basis on which this advertising is provided.
Basis on which advertisements are offered
The administrators of the Widecombe website will do their best to provide a good service
Any liability to an advertiser is strictly limited to the amount paid for the advertisementThe administrators are not liable for any errors in the advertisements. Advertisers should check details of the advertisement to make sure that it is correct and as the advertiser intended it.
The advertiser should re-check the advertisement periodically to ensure that it still meets their needs
The administrators aim for 24/7 availability of the site but this is not always possible due to service provider failures, software changes etc.
Notwithstanding the above, it must be remembered that the Widecombe website is run by volunteers so response times to requests, queries etc can be variable.
The content of any advertisement is the responsibility of the advertiser. The administrators reserve the right not to include material.
Pages on the site must follow the style of the site.
The Where to Stay and other listings are just listings. No booking service is provided so advertisements should include full contact details in their advertisements. If contact is made to the administrators rather than to the advertiser they will try to forward on but this cannot be guaranteed (the site makes it clear that those seeking to book should contact the advertiser directly).
Services Offered
We can place a link to the advertiser's website on the Widecombe site in accordance with the advertiser's wishes and in appropriate places such as 'Where to Stay', 'Places to Eat', etc.
We can provide a dedicated page for the advertiser which can include any material the advertiser wishes (within reason), including text and images. This can also include a link to the advertiser's website. The advertiser is responsible for providing all material for the advertisement.
We can provide a highlighted advertisement, either in the banner or in the left or right hand columns of the site. Banner and left-hand columns are repeated through most pages on the site.
Bespoke services can also be provided but would be subject to additional cost.
