The Two Moors Festival 2012 in Widecombe

The Two Moors Festival - a Dartmoor to Exmoor Music Festival

Festival dates 11-21 October 2012

Two Moors Festival, Sunday 14th October 2012, Widecombe-in-the-Moor

Two Moors Festival

The Two Moors Festival comes to town! Once again, this wonderful festival is visiting Widecombe. On Sunday 14th October there will be a Festival Service of Holy Communion in St Pancras' Church followed by a bracing walk up Hay Tor accompanied by pipes, whistles, guitar and drums! At 7.30pm the Festival's theme this year of anniversaries will be portrayed by a celebration of Charles Dickens' birth in 1812 with Victorian music-making from baritones Donald Maxwell and Marcus Farnsworth accompanied by Anna Tilbrook on the piano.

We are indeed most fortunate to have such wonderful musicians in our midst and this event is not to be missed. For those who are unaware, the Festival began in 2001 to regenerate the area after Foot and Mouth disease. It has been so successful that visitors come from all over the country, stay in B&Bs, enjoy pub meals and go to many concerts.

Tickets are on sale from August 20th and for further information see www.thetwomoorsfestival.com or contact the Festival Box Office on 01643 831006.

You can also download the entire colour brochure and programme as a pdf from www.thetwomoorsfestival.com and the full concert list is at http://www.thetwomoorsfestival.com/2012/Concerts12.htm.
