What did Widecombe do for the Millennium?

Several things:

1. A time capsule filled with sheets of paper etc supplied by parish residents and completed with interesting things about our life today was interred under a boulder on the village green with an inscription requesting that it be opened in 100 years time. View Report.

2. We beat the bounds (no mean task!)  in spring/early summer. View Report.

3. In June there was a flower festival in the Church.

4. Other activities taking place in the year 2000 will be added as details become available.
