The idea behind this page is to try to build up a record of old pictures and prints that are known to exist and that depict something relating to Widecombe. This is one way to try to find out what the Parish looked like before photography.

Photographic collections are also an important historical record, and the History Group is building up a formidable collection, which one day will be catalogued.

We are at early stages with the pre-photographic search, and the only current source of information is in the book, Devon Topographical Prints.
